It’s never too early to think about distribution, film festivals and awards, even if the cameras have not started rolling. Factoring in a publicity strategy from the very beginning will help give a filmmaker focus, start building a personal presence, creating a buzz and a head start to understanding the PR game. Studios think big picture from the time a project is announced, and so should you. This workshop will look at why a consistent publicity strategy is important and provide a few ideas on how to implement it, even if your budget does not match the studios.
